The Glamista Hair clip-in hair extensions are made from 100% Remy human hair. Therefore, they can be styled and washed just like your natural hair. We would love for you to keep your hair extensions as healthy and beautiful looking as you possibly can and maximize their lifespan. Keep in mind that hair extensions do not have the vitamin, minerals nor a direct supply of nutrients as your own natural hair. Hair extensions require more maintenance and aftercare to keep in good condition.

Blonde shades go through a more intense process during the manufacturing process than dark shades and therefore, require more maintenance and aftercare. We recommend using oil serum and a nourishing hair mask more often on blonde hair.

As hair extensions are intended to be worn occasionally, we recommend washing them only after they’ve been worn 10-15 times, or as necessarily, if there is no noticeable product build up. The more you wash and heat your extensions, the shorter their lifespan will be. 

When hair is exposed to more UV light during hot summers, it can affect the color of the hair. It is necessary to use the correct shampoo, conditioner, hair oil and heat protectant to avoid making them look dry, damaged and dull due to sun exposure, pollution and the use of hot tools for styling.
